How to meditate like Lord Shiva

The truth is, everyone is at a different level of consciousness, so you will have to decide which meditation works best for you.

Meditation is basically relaxing, closing your eyes, taking deep breaths and focusing in the present moment on your breath.

This quieting of the mind can be done while sitting crossed legged on the floor, or a yoga mat, a blanket, on grass, on a rock or wherever you feel comfortable. It can even be done while laying on the bed or any other comfortable space as well. Outdoors or indoors.

However you choose to meditate is good for you. Listening to music or in silence. Some even chant as well to get into a meditative, relaxed state.

Wear comfortable clothes.

Just make sure to be in a space where you won't be disturbed.

A good way to know if your meditation is effective, you will smile or/and there will be peace in your heart, after meditating.

As you practice more and more, you may experience the I AM awareness. Where you might realize that you are neither your thoughts nor your emotions. You are the presence within which experiences them.

Deep feelings of being one with all, unspeakable beauty, unity (oneness) and love, with immense intensity may well up in your heart/solar plexus. A good belly laugh, feeling of butterflies in your tummy, goosebumps or pure tears of happiness.

There might be other experiences as well which you might not understand immediately. Sudden thoughts might be inspired. You might see synchronicity of angel numbers like 111,222,333 etc. being reflected in your reality.

Whatever happens will be unique to you. There is no one like you so what you experience will also be your own unique experience, according to your own perception and soul purpose.

Guidance for your life may come to you as an insight in your waking state or in your dreams. Feel gratitude, appreciation and a happy high, these are the vibrations you are reaching for.
